Introduction
A well known manufacturing company in the forestry sector based in the Eastern Cape is looking for an Electrician
Key Responsibilities:
Install , service and maintenance of plant machinery
Maintain , programme and fault finding on AC and DC
Repair and maintain vsd drives
Maintenance of hydraulics and pneumatics, boiler and steam applications, variable speed gearboxes, overhead cranes, PLC`s and electronics
Carries out all electrical installation as instructed
Receive job card
Carry out work to be done as indicated on the job card
Enter details of work completed on the job card
Sign off the job card on completion of work done and submit job card to the admin clerk
Carriers out all electrical repairs on the staff housing as instructed
Maintains up to date knowledge of all electrical installation within the plant
Attends to breakdowns to all electrical installations
Minimum experience and qualifications required
Grade 12 or equivalent electronic qualification
Trade Tested Electrician
Knowledge and experience in hydraulics and pneumatics, boiler and steam applications, variable speed gearboxes, overhead cranes, PLC`s and electronics
At least 3 years’ experience in a production based environment.
Knowledge of the sawmill industry will be an added advantage
