Its key objectives are to: Expand Pay TV, SVOD subscriber base and Advertising sales Focus on investment and technology Maintain a local approach Provide quality service Attract innovative and motivated employees Position Name Project Manager Position ID Reports to Snr Manager: Project Office Direct Reports None Division Technology Department Strategy Band Key Customers Location South Africa, Johannesburg, Randburg Org Structure Head of Technology Strategy Snr Manager: Programme Office Project Managers Purpose of the Position: To manage projects at Group level, enable, drive and monitor the strategic initiatives being pursued. Provide support and guidance at PMO level. Key Performance Objectives Tasks Project Management Creating project Charters Coordinating and chairing of weekly project meetings Updating and distributing weekly project progress reports (including minutes & action logs) Monitoring of project deliverables and taking corrective actions Managing project risks and issues Updating of project plans Escalation of issues to project sponsors / technical leads Updating and submitting change control – including managing change note register Manage scope, schedules, deliverables, communication and risks while ensuring quality compliance and adherence with methodology and templates Manage key interdependencies and complexities closely and ensure these are communicated and understood across the business Registration, administration & execution of projects in line with company objectives. Provide project documentation for all projects Ensure projects are delivered in line with the Project Management Methodology, project standards, and the business strategy in accordance to the business requirements Provide support to Senior Manager as required. Financial Management, Monitoring and Reporting Assume ownership of and maintain the project budget. Develops financial plans and forecasts. Optimise the budget to ensure delivery of the project remains within the defined budget. Procurement - Obtaining quotes, placing orders for equipment / services needed and ensuring timeous payment of invoices on projects Facilitate monitoring and budget reporting across projects Manage reporting across projects Provide financial oversight and budget planning for VE projects Monitors and manages expenditure, ensuring that all financial targets are met, and examining any areas where budgets and expenditure exceed their agreed tolerances across projects/ programmes. Assists with the definition and operation of effective financial control and decision making. Analyse actual expenditure, explains variances, and advises on options in use of available budget.
